​Valerie Ziesmer

​Kindergarten - Grade 4 Teacher

Valerie Ziesmer teaches the combined literacy, science and art classes for our K - 8th grade students. The students call her "Mrs. Z".

Valerie graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Union College. She has a passion for Christian education and has taught in multigrade schools. ​She is certified to teacher by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist Office of Education. 

Valerie has been with Petersen since the Fall 2023.

Tiffany Meulemans
Teaching Principal

Grade 5 - Grade 8 Teacher

​Tiffany Meulemans teaches Bible, Math, Social Studies, and PE for our K - 8th grade students. The students call her “Mrs. T”.  
She also serves at Petersen's Headteacher (administrator). ​

​Tiffany holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Social Work. She uses her social work training to enrich her teaching practices and to advocate for the needs of her students. She is certified to teach by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist Office of Education. 

Tiffany has been with Petersen since Fall 2017, when she started as teacher's aide.

Laurie Carlson

Volunteer
Music

Laurie Carlson volunteers her time, rich musical training, and teaching expertise at Petersen for our whole-school music instruction. 

From attending Petersen herself (as a student), to sending her own children to Petersen, to serving as aide, substitute teacher & librarian at various times: Laurie is dedicated to supporting the mission and success of Petersen. ​
